Six great new Indianapolis wedding venue ideas

If the idea of a country club strikes you as a little dated for your wedding, consider these great Indianapolis-area wedding venues. Available in a variety of budgets depending on your wedding party size, they’re new, chic, glamorous and make for the perfect wedding.

These are all excellent wedding dinner venues in Indianapolis or event venues we’ve played or performed at, have good relationships with, and trust. Encore Entertainment isn’t paid to feature these venues, nor do we have any arrangement with them beyond a good working relationship with their event staff and customers.

1 – JW Marriott Hotel

Currently Indianapolis’s newest hotel, it’s hard to miss in the skyline. Originally built just before Indy hosted the Super Bowl, the JW Marriott Hotel features hundreds of rooms for guests, is linked to the Indiana Convention Center (which itself is linked to many other attractions Downtown), and has a fun Italian restaurant on the ground floor. Depending on the time, rooms can be available for as little as $169 a night.

There’s also a pool and hot tub attached to their 103,000 square feet of event space. The event center is a great Downtown Indianapolis wedding venue. Catering is available on-site and nearby museums and gardens make for a fun way of entertaining guests earlier in the day.

10 S West Street, Indianapolis. Call them at 317-860-5800 or book musicians for events at the JW Marriott.

2 – Union Station Crowne Plaza

The Union State Crowne Plaza is a hotel, not to be confused with “just” a train station it shares a name with. All located in roughly the same structure and space, the Crowne Plaza Hotel is perfect for a wedding ceremony or wedding reception. The spacious ballroom is beautiful and the whole facility features a 1920’s vibe that pulses with the energy of generations of travelers who have passed through its halls. It’s historic, but feels contemporary.

The Union State Crowne Plaza also has a fun carriage car that makes for neat photos to share later. As wedding venues go, this is a great choice. Catering is available on-site.

123 W Louisiana Street, Indianapolis. Call them at 317-631-2221. Find artist for hire near me that can play at the Crowne Plaza.

3 – D’Amore

D’Amore is a wedding reception and venue first and foremost. Located right on the Circle, the venue can be made available for as little as $750 and as much as $6000. Catering is available on-site and features some truly breathtaking views high up from the heart of the City. Depending on your wedding party size, D’Amore can accommodate weddings of all sizes from a few dozen to 650 people.

111 Monument Circle, #4800, Indianapolis. Call them at 317-542-8333 or hire musicians for event and venues like D’Amore.

4 – Black Iris Estate

Located on Indy’s Northside, Black Iris Estate is a one-of-a-kind local gem. The mansion and its garden, woods, and acres of pristine and manicured landscaping offer a great selection of indoor and outdoor options. As you’re moving through your wedding planning, Black Iris may work well as a secondary venue for the reception or the ceremony, depending on where you and your guests live around town.

5801 E 116th Street, Carmel. Call them at 317-542-8333.

5 – Canal 337

Canal 337 gets its name from its address on the north end of the canal, right about where 11th street crosses over by IU Health. Because of its location, your wedding photographer will have lots to work with to frame views over the canal and of the Downtown skyline. As music goes, you could host a portion outdoors or enjoy romantic walks along the canal with some light jazz or string music from Cocktail Sax or Candlewood Strings. Indoors, after the wedding, let loose with the band etc.

337 W 11th Street, Indianapolis. Call them at 317-542-8333

6 – Conrad

The Conrad is another hotel, but is Indiana’s highest and only four-star rated hotel. The Conrad isn’t as pricey as you might expect. Rooms can start as low as $195 depending on the night. The upscale hotel is across the street from Circle Centre Mall, features views of the Circle on its upper levels, and is less than a 10-minute walk from just about everything Downtown. You’ll love the options they have for catering and space, the indoor spa, and the wine bar that’s just around the corner from the valet parking.

50 West Washington Street, Indianapolis. Call them at 317-713-5000.
